A man from Kitchener is facing a list of charges, including impaired driving, after a late-night collision in Norwich Township.

The Oxford County detachment of Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash just after midnight on July 19.

It happened at the intersection of Highway 59 and Salford Road.

After the initial investigation, police charged a 26-year-old Kitchener man with a slew of charges, including:

  • Operation while impaired;
  • Dangerous Operation; and
  • Fail to remain.

The man was held in custody, but has since been released.

He’s scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on Aug. 26.

OPP is reminding drivers never to drink and drive, asking that anyone who suspects someone of driving while impaired call 9-1-1.
