There’s still time to sign up to lend a helping hand at this year’s Kitchener Blues Festival.

This festival marks 25 years of bringing the blues to downtown Kitchener.

“We’ve done this 25 times now, so we really think we’re ready for the surge we’re going to see this year,” said President Peter Beacock while on The Mike Farwell Show on Thursday.

There’s a stacked lineup with dozens of acts hitting multiple stages, including David Wilcox and Bedouin Soundclash.

While it’s free to attend, there is a ticketed fundraising concert that kicks it all off on Thursday, August 7 and features none other than Burton Cummings.

It takes a village to pull it all off, and there’s still time to get in on the festival fun.

“There’s still holes in the schedule to fill and it’s not too late to apply to volunteer with us,” said volunteer coordinator Joe Cormier.

You can be an artist host, stagehand, sell merch, and Cormier said there’s a strong need for people with Smart Serve certification.

Kitchener Blues Festival runs from August 7 to August 10.
