It’s about as close as you can get.
The Sudbury Five completed the reverse sweep against the KW Titans Wednesday night, to win the Basketball Super League Championship by just one point, in a 90-89 final.
The Titans took the first two games in the best-of-five series, and were unable to get a hold back on the Five for the next three games.
On social media, the Titans organization wrote one simple word in response to the loss: Heartbreaker.
Fans, however, although also heartbroken, stood tall for their team, sharing words of encouragement and thanks for a great season.
Fans writing on social media, “So proud of what the Titans brought to KW this year! Thanks for an amazing season,” and “Gut punch tonight. Great season, Titans!!”
This was the ninth season for the KW Titans.
