Air Canada flyers continue to face challenges getting to and from their destinations as the labour dispute between the airline and its flight attendants continues on Monday.
Canada’s largest airline has cancelled hundreds of flights since the strike with the lockout between flight attendants and the company started on Saturday.
In Waterloo Region, Air Canada operates a handful of trips to and from Toronto. As of early Monday morning, all arrivals and departures were listed as on time.
However, on the Region of Waterloo International Airport website, a pop-up message directs travellers to continue to check the status of their flight and reach out to Air Canada for any issues.
“Attention Air Canada Passengers,” reads the note.
“We’re aware of a potential labour disruption involving Air Canada and CUPE, the union representing the airline’s flight attendants. If you are travelling with Air Canada starting August 16, 2025, please check the status of your flight or directly contact the airline for the latest flight information: http://aircanada.com.”
The local airport’s arrivals and departures page can be checked here.
