After a stretch of blistering heat in Waterloo Region, some cooler air and plenty of rain is set to move in.

Temperatures on Monday will be cooler-than-expected, with a daytime high of just 18 C, but with a mix of sun and cloud.

Starting on Tuesday, rain will move into the forecast, with multiple systems set to bring wet weather and plenty of humidity all the way through to Friday.

“The humidity will be noticeable as we trend toward the middle and later stages of the week, however not expected to be uncomfortable,” said 570’s Meteorologist Allister Aalders.

For Tuesday, those showers could mix with a chance for thunderstorms, with widespread rainfall on Wednesday night.
