Woolwich crash sends e-bike rider to hospital

The investigation is ongoing following a crash on Monday afternoon that saw one person injured in Woolwich Township.

According to police, it was around 11:55 a.m. on Monday when regional police responded alongside emergency crews to that crash on Church Street East in Woolwich, near Spruce Lane.

The collision involved a vehicle and an e-bike.

The rider of the e-bike, a 63-year-old man, was sent to local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the involved vehicle was not injured.

A subsequent investigation closed Church Street East between Duke Street and George Street.

That closure was lifted just before 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

The investigation is still ongoing – anyone with information is asked to contact regional police.
