
Regional police arrested six people, including an 18-year-old, following a drug trafficking investigation in Kitchener’s downtown core.
The investigation began in October 2025, following concerns from community members about potential drug trafficking in the area.
On Friday, a search warrant was executed at a residence in Kitchener, where six people were taken into police custody.
During the search, officers seized two firearms, four replica firearms, electronic devices, and Canadian currency. Also found was a significant quantity of drugs including suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and hydromorphone pills.


The six arrested include an 18-year-old male, as well as a 50-year-old man, a 50-year-old woman, a 53-year-old man, a 53-year-old woman, and a 40-year-old man, all from Kitchener. They’re facing numerous charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking, firearms-related offences, possession of a prohibited device, and disobeying court orders.
One of the accused was also arrested on outstanding warrants including escaping lawful custody and resisting arrest.
