RCMP in Halifax have arrested two youths after responding to a weapons complaint in Fall River.

Police say the pair were charged on Friday after officers were called to a business on Highway 2 just before 9 p.m. At the scene, officers learned that one youth had pointed a gun at another before fleeing the area in a Volkswagen Rabbit.

No injuries were reported and police say the youth know each other.

A search warrant was executed Saturday and a long-barreled airsoft gun and airsoft handgun were seized with one of the youths arrested.

The second suspect was arrested for failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking.

The two youths have been released and are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Youth Court at a later date.
