Timberlea man faces multiple assault charges

Police have arrested and laid multiple charges against a 38-year-old Timberlea man who was wanted on outstanding warrants.

Last Friday, Halifax RCMP, along with help from police dog services, the Truro Police Service and Halifax Regional Police, found and arrested Kristopher Scott Drysdale on Optimism Walk in Lower Sackville.

Police said he is facing a number of charges including:

  • Theft under $5,000
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Sexual assault
  • Assault
  • In committing assault chokes, suffocates or strangles
  • Failure to comply with release order (two counts)

Drysdale is also charged with uttering threats and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose stemming from an incident on April 28.

Police said he appeared in Halifax Provincial Court on Monday and remains in custody until his next scheduled court appearance on Wednesday.
