The makers of several brands of milk and dairy-free products are recalling cartons after an investigation found possible glass in some items.

Agropur is voluntarily recalling some milk products made at its Bedford plant after a consumer complaint triggered an internal investigation, which “identified a potential risk for the presence of material resembling glass in certain products.”

The company said the situation is now under control as the investigation continues.

Brands of milk, including Farmers, Québon and Natrel, are impacted by the recall. The best before dates range from March 26 to May 15, and are impacting both 1%, 2% and 3.25% products in the 2 litre cartons.

The products are being recalled across Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and nationally.

Agropur said that people need to remove the product immediately and return it to the warehouse or store where they bought it from.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause and thank you for your understanding,” the company said.
