RCMP investigating armed robbery in Lower Truro

RCMP in Colchester County are investigating an armed robbery at a gas station in Lower Truro.

Police say a masked man entered the Robie Street business around 12:30 a.m. Monday, armed with a utility knife.

The suspect demanded cash and cigarettes from the clerk, placed them into a garbage can, and left the store on foot, heading east on Robie Street.

He is described as being between five-foot-eight and five-foot-10. He was wearing a green bucket hat, a long green coat that extended below the knees, black pants, black rubber boots, and a mask covering his face.

Anyone with information, including video footage from the area of Robie Street between Meadow Drive and Marshland Drive around the time of the incident, is asked to contact Colchester County District RCMP at 902-893-6820.
