HALIFAX — RCMP in Yarmouth, N.S., have charged a man with alleged sexual offences dating back more than 20 years, and say there may be more victims.
Police in Yarmouth, a small town about 220 kilometres southwest of Halifax, say the investigation into the owner of a taxi business known as “Classic Cabs” began in January.
Police say they’ve identified two victims who were youths between 2001 and 2004 when the incidents allegedly happened.
RCMP say they believe there could be additional victims who have not yet come forward.
A 63-year-old man has been charged with two counts of sexual exploitation, two counts of sexual assault and another count of assault.
The man has been released on conditions and is due back in court next month.
