Two suspects are wanted by the RCMP in connection with an armed robbery on Sunday.
RCMP in Colchester County say around 2:20 a.m., officers were called to a gas station on Pictou Road in the community of Valley, where they learned two men who drove up in a pickup truck walked in, allegedly displaying a weapon to a staff member.
The employee says the suspects demanded money before fleeing the scene, with police adding they did not pay for gas either.
Just before 4 a.m., officers then received a call about a vehicle fire in Masstown, where the truck in question appeared to be the same vehicle used in the robbery.
Officers believe it was set on fire intentionally, and further investigation indicated it was reported stolen from Stewiacke on Saturday.
RCMP say they are now asking for information that could assist in identifying the persons of interest.
One is described as a white man, approximately 6’0″ tall.
The second person is described as a white man, approximately 5’5″ or 5’6″ with blond hair and possibly in his mid-20s.
He was wearing a black shirt, black pyjamas pants, and black shoes.
The truck is a dark green 2012 Ford F150 pickup with a wooden tailgate and black wooden box built into the bed of the truck.
Anyone with information that will support this investigation is asked to contact the Colchester County District RCMP.
