Kings District RCMP say the recent death of a man whose body was found outside a home in the community of Greenfield is now being investigated as a homicide.
The RCMP says the man’s body was found early on June 11 outside a residence on Peck Meadow Road. The death was believed to be suspicious, and the Southwest Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit took over the investigation.
One person was arrested that day, but they were later released without charges.
Since that time, the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service has determined the manner of death to be homicide.
Due to the information and evidence so far collected, police believe that the man was the victim of a targeted killing.
Few other details have been released but the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information that could support this investigation is asked to contact the RCMP Southwest Nova Major Crime Unit at 902-365-3120.
