A 45-year-old is facing charges after being caught by police with drugs, illegal tobacco and baby eels.
RCMP in Meteghan River say officials with Fisheries and Oceans Canada and the Department of Natural Resources were on hand when they executed a search warrant on a property on Dentremont Road on May 29.
As part of an ongoing investigation, officers seized cocaine, cigarettes, cash, a stun gun and live baby eels, which are also known as elvers.
They say officers also seized storage equipment as well as a flare gun made to look like a handgun.
The Digby County man was released on conditions but will appear in court in August to face multiple drug and weapons-related charges.
He also faces additional charges related to unstamped tobacco.
RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
