RCMP say a woman hs been arrested following a single-vehicle crash in Lewis Lake on Wednesday.

In a release, the Mounties say around 6:15 p.m., officers were called to the incident in the 4600 block of St. Margarets Bay Road, where they found a Nissan Rouge as well as a woman in a ditch.

Officers say they observed signs of impairment in the 54-year-old woman, who was taken to the Tantallon RCMP Detachment and given a breath test.

She is now facing charges for impaired driving and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date.

RCMP say no one else was believed to be in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
