Three adults are dead following an early morning fire at residence in Lower Sackville.

RCMP say emergency services responded shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday morning, after callers reported a fire at a home on Manor Drive.

Upon arrival, officers attempted to enter the home, but RCMP say the conditions were too intense due to smoke.

The Halifax Professional Fire Fighters union said in a post on X that the incident “quickly escalated to a second alarm.”

Firefighters removed three adults from the home. Lifesaving measures were attempted, but all three adults succumbed to their injuries.

The victims include a 43-year-old man, a 38-year-old woman, and a 73-year-old woman.

Investigators from the Office of the Fire Marshall and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service attended the property.

The investigation is ongoing.
