Gasoline prices saw a slight swing upwards in Nova Scotia ahead of the weekend.
In its weekly Friday adjustment, the provincial regulator increased the price-per-litre of regular self serve gas overnight by 3.6 cents to 168.9.
The Nova Scotia Energy Board did not alter the price of diesel so it remains at 185.4 cents per litre on Friday.
The adjustment comes as the price for a barrel of Brent crude oil, the international standard, rose 2.2 per cent to US$75.50 Thursday.
The price is still well off its highs above US$100 caused by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz because of the war, which slowed the global flow of oil.
On this date one year ago, Nova Scotians were paying 1.44 for gas and 1.52 for diesel.
