Gas and diesel prices in N.S. see slight dip ahead of weekend

There has been another decrease in fuel prices across the province on Friday.

In its weekly adjustment the Nova Scotia Energy Board decided to drop regular self-serve gasoline prices down 3.3 cents to 169.8 cents per litre.

The provincial regulator also easing diesel prices by 3.8 cents to rest at 202.2 cents per litre.

This latest action included, the price of regular self-serve gasoline has seen a decrease of 15.8 cents by the Nova Scotia Energy Board over the past three Fridays.

According to regulations, the Nova Scotia Energy Board must prescribe a benchmark price for fuel products every Friday.

This time last year, gas prices in Nova Scotia were 1.39 while diesel was 1.41.
