Deep Purple to play Scotiabank Centre in August

There’s going to be some Smoke on the Water this August as Deep Purple is set to perform in Halifax.

The British rock icons will play the Scotiabank Centre on Aug. 15 alongside special guests KANSAS and Jefferson Starship.

They have sold more 100 million albums and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.

Tickets go on sale April 2 at 10 a.m. at the band’s website.
