A Calgary-area high school teacher who was charged for sexual offences against a student earlier this year is now facing additional child pornography charges.
An investigation into Springbank Community High School teacher, Timothy Bailey, started after a female student reported inappropriate behaviour, according to Cochrane RCMP.
The 49-year-old Bailey was arrested and charged back in January with child luring, making sexually explicit material available to a child, and sexual exploitation.
Mounties continued their investigation with help from the Southern Alberta Internet Child Exploitation Unit.
On Tuesday, police charged Bailey with additional offences, including accessing and possessing child pornography.
Rocky View Schools (RVS) say Bailey taught math to grades 10, 11 and 12 students and worked at the school since 2003.
He is no longer employed by the school board.
