A woman who was wanted in connection with the assault and abuse of her one-year-old son has been arrested, Lethbridge police said on Monday.
Officers issued a warrant for her arrest on Feb. 13 after police began an investigation in May when the boy was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators learned he suffered significant blunt force trauma and other injuries while with his mother.
That led to police charging 43-year-old Delia Teri Joy Grey with aggravated assault, failure to provide the necessaries of life and criminal negligence causing bodily harm in late 2024.
Police announced her arrest on Monday and thanked the public for their help.
Officers say the investigation is ongoing, but no further information will be released.
