A man was found with gunshot wounds early Friday after seeking help at a home in southeast Calgary.
Calgary police say the shooting was reported around 6:15 a.m., when an injured man was discovered on 44 Street SE, across the street from Forest Lawn High School.
He went to a nearby home for assistance, and the occupants called for help, according to police.
The victim was taken to hospital and is now in stable condition.
Area residents who spoke with CityNews pointed towards a blood trail and say a wheel chair in the back alley was used by the victim.
No arrests have been made, but investigators believe the shooting was targeted.
Police say the victim is not cooperating with investigators, making it more difficult to determine exactly what happened and who may be responsible.
The investigation is ongoing.
