A severe thunderstorm warning that was issued for the City of Calgary has now come to an end.
Environment Canada issued the warning just before 6 p.m., saying meteorologists were tracking storms capable of producing strong wind, hail, and heavy rain.
The warning ended around 7:30 p.m.
Calgary remains under a thunderstorm watch with Environment Canada saying conditions are still “favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms.”
Environment Canada urges resident to to take immediate cover if a threatening storm approaches to avoid hail and flying debris.
