More patrons have taken in the sights and smells of the Calgary Stampede so far this year than in the past, according to new data from the festival out Wednesday.
Tuesday’s attendance numbers have put 2025 on track to break records.
The Calgary Stampede says 193,033 people walked through the gates on July 8, which was TC Energy Community Day; that brings the total attendance thus far to 812,722.
The first — and only — Tuesday of Stampede in 2024 saw 141, 053 people check out the grounds, which brought the cumulative total at that time to 770, 703.
The all-time attendance record was set last year — when the 10-day event brought 1,477,953 to Stampede Park.
According to the organization, $282 million is added to Alberta’s economy every year during the Calgary Stampede.
