Funds raised helped the Ottawa First Responders Foundation provide additional mental health services and support to first responders.

12,000 cans sold meant we delivered this big cheque of $12,000 to the Ukrainian Canadian Congress to help Ukrainians settle in Ottawa.

The Biggs & Barr Show + the Ottawa Police Association brought a homecooked meal to the families at The Ronald McDonald House!

Deed #6 – A service dog for Cesar

A fully trained service dog can cost roughly $20-25k, and all of that is all done through fundraising. The Biggs & Barr Show and the Ottawa Police Association donated the remaining balance for Cesar to get his service dog from Kingston 4 Paws Service Dogs

Deed #7 – The Mini Masters

Biggs and Barr hosted a mini-putt tourney for the Boys & Girls Club of Ottawa that SOLD-OUT, with help as always from our friends at the Ottawa Police Service. Check out the video HERE

Deed #8 – Fighting Inflation from an INFLATABLE UNICORN

We had listeners come to Mooney’s Bay and swim/wade out to Biggs and Barr in their inflatable raft where they could get a $100 in gas and grocery gift cards courtesy of the Ottawa Police Association. See all the people who swam out HERE

Deed #8 – Free Gas Friday

For Deed #8 we wanted to fill your tank with some free gas. With some people having to work from home over the last 18 months back in 2021 and with the help of the Ottawa Police Association we had a stack of $100 gas gift cards to give away. Check out how it meant down HERE

Deed #9 – A New Roof

Deed #9 is a big one. We received a nomination from CHEZ listener Heather. She told us about her awesome friend Beth who was having an incredibly hard time and needs a new roof.

So she’s getting one. Deed #9 is a new roof for Beth!

Deed #10 – A visit to the Perley & Rideau Veterans Health Centre

Deed #11 – Let the Kids Play

For Deed #11 we are helping out the kids and by that we meant lots of kids.

First they stopped by the Vanier Community Service Centre with a donation of 106 brand new kids’ bike helmets for their bike sharing program. Police constable Craig Baxter nominated this deserving group after noticing many kids in the area riding bikes without helmets.

Next up was BGC Ottawa who got a BIG donation of sports equipment. With 19 locations across Ottawa and 4,500 kids using their FREE Community-based services they go through a lot of sports equipment.

Back in Friday Aug 27th 2021 in the morning we handed out 500 free burgers for Deed #12. It was a delicious and meaty Deed. You can see how it went down HERE
