Contest entry closes October 30, 2026 at 4:00pm or when sound is correctly guessed. Must be 19 years or older to play. Must be a resident of British Columbia and live within the terrestrial broadcast listening range of STAR 98.3 and who have not won any prize from STAR 98.3 within the last 30 days, or won a prize with a value exceeding $1,000.00 in the last 6 months. To be deemed a potential winner, the contestant will be given the opportunity to identify the $10,000 What’s That Sound effect weekdays at 8am and 4pm excluding holidays. If the sound effect is correctly identified, the contestant will win the current cash amount available in the jackpot. Cash jackpots will start at $500 and will increase by $100 each contest day when the sound is incorrectly guessed. A total of $10,000.00 CDN in cash prizes may be awarded in the contest.
