A 21-year-old Alberta man has been charged with attempted murder after police say he stabbed his twin brother following an argument.
On Saturday, just before 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stabbing at a home in Lethbridge.
When they arrived, they found a 21-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital in serious condition.
Police arrested a suspect at the scene without incident. A knife believed to have been used in the attack was also seized from the home.
Investigators determined the twin brothers got into an argument that escalated into a physical fight. Evidence suggested the accused stabbed his twin several times and believed he had killed him, according to police.
Bayley Nathaniel Minoose, 21, of Cardston, is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and assault with a weapon. He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
The victim has since been released from hospital and is recovering from his injuries.
